Process overview

In order to import your data you will need to define clearly how you want your data to be represented in Crew, and where the properties from your previous tool will be set in Crew. Overall the process, you will follow is the following :

1. You set up your workspace
2. You send to us a zip file with the data to import
3. We will verify the file (dry-run of the import) and let you know how many entities will be created, how many will be updated (in case you already have data in your Crew workspace), any errors encountered and how to fix them.
4. Once errors have been fixed and the data looks good we will proceed with the import, and all your data should be available in your workspace within 1 business day.

Initial setup

Before importing data, you will need to properly configure your workspace settings : https://app.crewcrm.work/settings. In particular :

• Invite your collaborators, so we can assign talents to them : https://app.crewcrm.work/settings/members
• Set up your sources : https://app.crewcrm.work/settings/sources
• Set up roles and departments : https://app.crewcrm.work/settings/roles-departments
• Set up industries : https://app.crewcrm.work/settings/industries
• If you want to use our Sales CRM and import Sales data, enable the feature here. Then set up your deals pipeline and lost deals reasons.

Once you have done this part, please communicate with us, and we will provide you with a CSV containing the ids of each entity, so you can fill them in properly in your import files.
