Imagine trying to find all your Frontend Engineers or Fullstack Engineers in your talent base with just a few clicks, but you can’t because each person uses different job titles. This inconsistency forces you to manually type in multiple job titles or filter through various open positions. Similarly, clients may have their own unique terminology for roles, complicating your talent management efforts.

To streamline this process, a standardized system for job titles and roles is essential. This common framework, sometimes referred to as an ontology, simplifies the search and categorization of talent, making it easier to meet client requirements and manage your talent pool efficiently.

With Crew, you can achieve this standardization through our Roles & Departments feature. This feature ensures that all talents are consistently categorized, enabling quick and efficient searches for the right candidates.

To get started:

1. Create Roles & Departments in your workspace settings

5. Auto-assign Roles in Jobs

The “Auto-assign Roles” feature allows you to streamline the process of categorizing talents by automatically assigning predefined roles to any talent added to a specific job. To use this option, navigate to the job’s settings page and select one or multiple roles that best describe the job. Once set, every new talent added to this job will automatically receive these roles, eliminating the need for manual role assignment.

This feature not only saves time but also ensures that all talents are consistently categorized.
